| Robison Amusement
Park, 1896 & Robinson Park Studios, 2007
|
|
Robinson Park Studios namesake was
derived from “Robison Park ” which was an amusement park built in 1896
just outside Fort Wayne . This park offered many entertainment options
and was one of the most unique parks of its type for the era. We felt it
appropriate to carry on the tradition of “entertainment” that Robison
Park began those many years ago. We strive to make our studio a
destination for people who want to use their creative talents in the
entertainment industry and offer a short biography about “ Robison Park
.” We hope you will enjoy reading about it. |

Robison
Park was built by the interurban trolley line Fort Wayne Consolidated Railway
Company in 1896 and continued through 1919, it was one of many such
trolley-company-owned parks throughout the Midwest. This park was special,
and had many of the same entertainment attractions of large cities, the ride
attractions of the large parks, and the scenic beauty that one may not expect
to find in northern Indiana – all right here in Fort Wayne. |

| A few years before coming to
Fort Wayne they purchased the St. Louis Browns team, renamed them the
Cardinals and added some rookies, including one by the name of Cy Young.
The creation of the Fort Wayne Consolidated Railway Company was simply
the next venture for the brothers. |
